Okay, so I've posted exactly once this year. Which basically means that at this rate, by the year 2010 you'll have heard exactly 6 updates from me. Ha ha! Okay - I'll try to be better. I so enjoy reading the family blogs, so I need to write it down in my list of things to do.
Life is good. Summer is a beautiful thing. The kids have been out of school for about two weeks now and are already talking about going back - is that weird? Derek keeps reminding me that he's not little anymore because he's going into the 1st grade. Brittan reminds me of how much more work she's going to have to do in 4th grade than 3rd grade. Gabe is loving life because he's outta elementary and on to bigger and better things in Middle School with no siblings. And last...Carina just turned 14 last month, and in the Fall will be starting High School. Yep. Uh huh. Not lying. It's sheer craziness that I'm old enough to have a daughter starting High School. I still feel young and hip, so how does that work exactly? In a nutshell, I'll be getting a promotion in the Taxi world, and making twice-daily rounds to THREE lovely schools to shuttle my children every day, along with friends (because you know I AM the cool mom and for some reason always have a packed car of kids after school. Ha ha!)
Carina is going to her very first youth dance tonight at the Stake Center. Her cousin Abby is in town from Florida, and her birthday was yesterday, so they're going together as first-timers. They won't say they're excited, but I kinda think they are. We're leaving in a few minutes to watch Carina play volleyball...she's on a city league in preparation for the Freshman Volleyball team. She's getting better and better, and working hard on overhand serves. She's a determined kid - we like that about her, and it helps outweigh the other teenage mishaps we have to deal with from her...another story...another day.
Bill has been in Colorado all week with his Priests on their High Adventure trip. I came back from Girls Camp and within hours he left for his trek, so needless to say - I'm missing my sweet hubby and looking forward to him coming home late tonight.
Will try to be better about sharing info and should probably figure out how to add a photo huh? My kids are getting so big!

Yay! "She's ALIVE!!!" :) I need to get my buns in gear again and blog a little bit more! It's Jaren's Birthday today, so I'm sure I'll have something to put up! :)
Sounds crazy at your house! The kids ARE getting bigger... Tell them Aunt Stacy misses them and give them all a sloppy wet one for me! :)
